![]() After looking at Air Radar I determined that a lot of people around me were on the same channels for the 2.4 and 5 GHz networks. I use an Airport Extreme as my router (turned off the router of my cable company's modem, which is what most everyone around me has) and it was set to select the channel automatically. I was wondering if the battery drain might be due to WiFi interference, so I used a program called Air Radar to look at the WiFi signals in my area and see what channels they were on and what the signal interference was like. ![]() Everyone and their cat (no dog building) has a WiFi router running. The list of WiFi signals I pick up at home is very long. I live in a large apartment building in NYC. I only pick up 2-3 other WiFi signals from neighbors. I was at my Mon's house for the weekend and noticed that my 10.5 iPad Pro hardly drained in standby. The guy at the store said that he had never seen that before. They ran a battery diagnostic, and the result was that the capacity was 115%. In the Fall of 2017, I took it to an official apple repair shop. The battery has bothered me since the beginning. ![]() I have had the device since late June 2017. I simply refuse to believe that is possible. The result was that my battery capacity was still at 100%. anyway, I got to talk to a more knowledgeable person who was very helpful and really did her best to help me. I had to tell her that that is only available on iPhone. The first person I talked to asked me to check battery health in settings. I was on the phone with Apple for 45 minutes this past Saturday. It usually looses 10-12%, while I am away for work during the day (10 hours).Ĭoconut battery says 81 cycles and 91% capacity. Sometimes it will lose 3% just by browsing for 15 minutes in Safari. It seems to drain faster than any iPad I have ever had (I’ve had 1, 2, 3, Air, Air 2, mini 2, 12.9 Gen 1 and now 10.5). My iPad Pro 10.5 also seems to have poor battery. ![]() I am glad this issue has been brought up again. Maybe someone out there can help us poor souls! Thanks for starting this thread! I was thinking about starting one here too to see if anyone could give some advice. I have Apple Care and it doesn't expire until June 2019 so I will be monitoring battery condition via coconutBattery and if it falls below 80% I will be taking it in for replacement. I also feel like it is draining quicker during normal use than it used to also. This is the first Apple device I have ever had a battery issue with. So based on the above, I am leaning toward the culprit being the Exchange account, which is a push account and therefore i assume is checking constantly for new emails, calendar events, notes etc.ĭo you have an exchange account configured on you iPad Pro?
